Help Lorraine With Medical Expenses & Bills

Hi, my name is John a friend of Lorraine Gomez and I am fundraising to try and make Lorraine’s a little less stressful financially since she is no longer working.

On January 12 at about 3:45pm Lorraine, who was an assistant manager at Rent-A-Center noticed a burglary occurring in her store.  She instinctively and courageously went after the individual and the merchandise.  Tragically she was hit and run over by the thieves and suffered a broken Femur along with many scrapes and bruises.  The thieves did flee the scene leaving Lorraine broken and tattered on the floor for the ambulance to rush her to the hospital.

Lorraine is a single mother striving to provide a good life full of opportunity for her son who seems to harbor great potential.  Unfortunately, not only is she now bedridden and unable to physically do much with her son.  She is also out of work, and incurring medical bills as well as having to come out of pocket for things like her crutches and her walker as these things for whatever reason were  not paid for or provided by her medical.  Any compensation from the assailants’ or their insurance will probably not happen as the chances of them being caught is slim as the Rent-A-Center security cameras were not working.  Also,  any reimbursement from workers comp will take a long time and as of right now Lorraine is struggling to make ends meet. 

I am asking from the bottom of my heart for donations to help Lorraine.  She is an absolutely fun loving person with nothing but good in her heart, and her righteous actions that day are a testament to that.  The money would go toward making ends meet while she waits for her workers comp to kick in, and her EDD is taking more time than we would have liked, and we are just hoping for these donations to help cover the gap until EDD and workman’s comp kicks in so her credit doesn’t go to SHIT and make her even more depressed.
