Help Lorrie knock cancer out of the park!

As many of you may have already heard, our mom, Lorrie Lechner-Inge, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Lorrie is one of the most engaged, generous, strong and compassionate individuals many of us will ever meet. She has always leapt up to help any person or group in their time of need. Whether that be organizing fundraisers for our classes and sports teams while we were at SQHS, supporting a coworker’s family as their mother battled cancer, or cheering up friends facing illness with a friendly visit and bouquet of flowers in hand, Lorrie consistently comes through for those around her! This barely scratches the surface of what our mom means to the Whatcom County community. She has recently been blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Hudson Inge and Hayden Snyder and, together with the rest of her family, they provide sheer joy, powerful motivation and strength.

Now It is HER time of need. Fortunately she has a fantastic care team at Virginia Mason in Seattle where she has already started specialized, weekly treatments. Mom and her oncologist have a great treatment plan lined up and she is going to tackle it one step at a time. While she fights this we are asking the community to blanket her with prayers, love, and support. With this powerful collection of resources she will defeat this serious illness!

It goes without saying that Mom is one of the most hard working and dedicated women out there. After 40+ years at Macys, including 29 of those specializing in Estee Lauder Companies, hardly ever taking a sick day, we anticipate that she will need to take time off work for her treatments. We have created this GoFundMe to help. These donations will assist with medical bills and various other expenses related to her treatments and recovery. We want to take this financial obstacle off her plate. She deserves to have this peace of mind and to be able to fully focus on her healing. This girl is going to be knocking this cancer out of the park!
