Help Louis On His Road to Recovery

As many may have heard by now, Louis Blankenship was in a serious motorcycle accident on Sunday May 12th. He is going to recover but at the moment faces multiple surgeries.

Who is Louis to each of us? If you are part of the Eventing community Louis is the announcer, course builder, and all around helpful guy. No joke! If you need something Louis is the guy that gets it done. Same for his wife Kristi since you can find her in the show office, parking people, setting up stalls, or helping someone in need. They are absolutely key to our Eventing family and have been since they started vending 20 or so years ago. They are absolute fixtures in our community!

Louis will be out of work for a undetermined time while they put Humpty together again. Kristi won’t be able to work for a good while while she manages his situation and acts as his caregiver. The are responsible for a multigenerational household and the fear of losing everything is very real.

This is going to be a extremely long and costly process. The goal of this GoFundMe is to take the financial pressure off so neither one of them have to worry about caring for their family or losing their home while they focus on getting Louis whole again. We do not want Kristi to feel like she has to rush off to work too soon when she should be caring for Louis, and we certainly do not want him the be concerned about getting back to work too soon when he need to focus on recovery.

We absolutely recognize that times are difficult for many at the moment and with that said any donation amount would be greatly appreciated. Even $5 helps!
