Help Louise and Max rebuild their lives after the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
As a long-time Altadena resident, I am devastated by the recent wildfires and the losses by so many of my friends. Louise Hamlin and I have been friends for decades as well as JPL colleagues.
As many of you know, Louise and her teenage son Max lost their beautiful, storybook home in Altadena, along with one vehicle, and all of their possessions. This is a recent second challenge for them as Louise lost her job at JPL just 8 weeks ago.
Needless to say, the coming days, weeks, and months are going to be tough as they figure out what comes next.
Please join me in helping to ease their burden with lots of love and a financial contribution as you're able. A cushion of funds will help to bridge the gap until they can get back on their feet. There will be numerous uncovered expenses.
The Hamlins are a hugely caring part of our community. They volunteer with a number of organizations, founded a local group planting native gardens for Monarch Butterflies, and have hosted and mentored JPL interns for many years. Bringing people together and creating community is what they do best.
Louise and Max helped 4 other families evacuate before they did and then checked all of the houses on their block. That meant they had to drive out through flames as the block was already on fire. Louise is always there for others. Now it's our turn to come together for them.
Thank you for keeping Louise and Max in your hearts during this unimaginable loss. Please reach out if you have any questions.
