Help Louise Doughty after her car crash.

I'm Kris, and Louise is my mother-in-law.

On the 20th April 2023 Louise and her husband John were involved in a bad car crash in South Wales whilst on a short holiday

Louise sustained life threatening injuries and at this time is in Intensive Care in University Hospital Cardiff.

Louise is a fighter and is fighting hard to make a recovery from the severe injuries she received in the crash, some of which have been described by her doctors as life changing, this could range from home adaptions to even the need for nursing home care in the future.

We are all hoping for her to win the battle against her injuries however she faces a long battle to recover her health, and with that will come financial challenges.

My wife, father-in-law and sister-in-law are having to rent accommodation in Cardiff near to the hospital so that they can visit with Louise whilst she deals with this challenge, even just buying food and essentials soon adds up and Louise could be in the hospital for many months.

We live in North Wales, over 120 miles away. I've had to remain at home to care for our three children.

I'm therefore asking if anyone can donate to help with this challenging time it will mean that we are able to keep travelling to Cardiff, staying in Cardiff and then in the long run provide support and care as needed by Louise as she hopefully recovers.

Any money that isn't needed to support Louise and her care will be donated to the University Hospital Cardiff to show our massive appreciation for the amazing and dedicated care Louise is receiving.
