Help Love Grow. Ellie and Lance are Adopting!

Dear Family and Friends,

As you may have gathered from the title of this GoFundMe campaign, our hearts are overflowing with excitement and a touch of nervousness as we embark on this adoption journey. This path has been a long time coming, and we are thrilled to share it with all of you.

Our desire to expand our family began three years ago when we embarked on the challenging road of trying to conceive. After numerous visits to doctors, some of whom were far from supportive, we were told that having a biological child wasn’t an option for us. The news was difficult to accept, and we went through a period of grief before deciding to explore the beautiful world of adoption. In March of this year we choose an adoption agency and begun the long, tedious process. After hours upon hours of paperwork, rigorous training, and in-depth, invasive interviews, we proudly signed our Home Study and received approval to adopt in Colorado. This marks a significant milestone in our journey toward becoming parents.

Yet, as we move forward, we encounter one of the most significant challenges in realizing our dream — the financial aspect. We have chosen an adoption agency that upholds the highest ethical standards and ensures the well-being of birth mothers throughout and beyond the adoption process. Adoption costs are substantial, ranging from $60,000 to $90,000, encompassing agency fees, legal expenses, home study costs, and travel expenses. The financial hurdles can seem insurmountable, but our determination to provide a loving and nurturing home to a child remains unwavering.
