Help Lowell Cauffiel After Complete Loss in Palisades Fire

Donation protected
Hello friends and concerned citizens,

With a heavy heart I am reaching out to all those who may be willing to help my father, Lowell Cauffiel, through a very difficult time. Like so many others, he has lost his home and all of his possessions to the devastating fire that recently raged through Pacific Palisades, CA. There is no way to completely compensate for someone losing their home and community, but we can help clear the path down the road to recovery for Lowell.

Many know Lowell as the building manager of Pacific Gardens Apartments off of Sunset Blvd, a large apartment complex with nearly fifty units. The building has completely burned to the ground. Pacific Gardens had been his home for twenty-three years, and his love for the building and the community had led him to become the building's manager. Being semi-retired from a long career as a crime writer, managing the building had become Lowell's primary income and the position he held was a source of pride and dedication. Not only has he lost his home and possessions, but his job as well. Not being able to provide this service to his home and its tenants may very well be his greatest loss, but he has also lost many musical instruments, scores of physical documents from his research library, and a multitude of priceless and irreplaceable family heirlooms from his father's contributions during World War II.

This is an opportunity for us to help Lowell and show our support during a very difficult transition that no seventy-three-year-old should ever have to endure. Your generous donations will give hope and help Lowell find a new home, restore essential belongings, start a new life, and resume his longtime efforts in community service.

As my father told me the night of the fire, "When one door closes, another will open, though the hallway can be very long and dark." This is our moment to provide some light for my father for the long walk ahead.

No amount is too small, and every contribution helps provide support. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this support campaign makes a significant difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

With our deepest gratitude,
John Lowell Cauffiel (Lowell’s Son) & His Friends & Family
