Help Loz, Cam and beautiful micro premmie Freya

My name is Adelle and I am organising this gofundme on behalf of beautiful Loz, Cam and the incredibly strong (small but mighty Freya!).

Loz has been a pillar of strength during her pregnancy, having spent a large portion of it in hospital in her fight to keep Freya safe and growing. They both worked so hard together to get to the point that they were at when it was decided for both Loz’s safety and Freya’s, Freya had to be born urgently.

Pregnancy isn’t always the easiest of tasks, but Loz has approached every challenge thrown her way with such positivity and not one complaint. Loz has been unable to work since early in her pregnancy due to complications and the risk to Freya and they have since been on a single income and utilising funds that had been saved for maternity leave.

Loz bravely underwent an emergency classical c-section to birth their beautiful little girl Freya Jean Curry who arrived at 29 weeks, weighing a tiny 632g (1 pound 1) on the 16th of December.

Loz, Cam and Freya have a long journey ahead and will need all of the support (emotionally, physically and financially) that they can get to move through this phase of their life together. Freya is expected to remain in NICU until March 2024 and Loz will need to commute with milk in order to feed her and bond.

I am wanting to raise funds for them to stay close to the hospital as Loz is unable to drive due to her surgery, time off work for Cam so that he can be with Loz and Freya, the ongoing needs such as potential surgery for Freya, counselling and support for both Loz and Cam when required and all of the other requirements of having a micro premmie that may pop up along the way.

Loz and Cam’s family and friend base is mainly out of state, so help needs to be outsourced for them for a large portion of this journey.
