Help Lucille Shivers Rebuild After Devastating Flood

Hi,

My name is Meagan. I am the oldest granddaughter to Lucille Shivers. On Saturday, October 19th, my grandmother, 86, became trapped in her home while water rose up to 3’ high in her home. Unable to climb up onto anything, she had to stand and wait for help in the muddy water. Due to the swift current and amount of floodwaters, my aunt and uncle, Rob and Karla Stinehart, were forced to wait out a very long and stressful night to be able to get to her. They were finally able to rescue her and bring her to their home. They have worked tirelessly to clean up and go through the house. My parents, Russ and Caroline, have also come to help. Unfortunately, she has lost everything.

I have created this GoFundMe in hopes that our friends and family might be able to help her, as we do not know what the future may hold for the house and the repairs. Any and all money will be going to my grandmother, Lucille Shivers, to use however she needs. This will not replace all the items that filled her home with memories, but hopefully knowing we all want to take part in loving her will ease the pain of seeing your life washed away by a flood.
