Help Lucinda Spragg get to Edinburgh Fringe 2022
Donation protected
Hello, Grace here.
I'd just like to start by saying I absolutely hate asking you for money. This was at the bottom of my list of ideas for getting the funds together for Fringe and I've tried all the other avenues. Asking for dosh during a cost of living crisis so I can go and frolic around on a stage feels GRIM. Nevertheless, here we are...
If you can't afford to donate anything then PLEASE DON'T. If you can spare a couple of quid, you'd make an old girl very happy.
Moon Loaf have got a slot at Underbelly to put on our show, 'Lucinda Spragg: An Evening With'. It's a character comedy about a 'controversial' political activist. She's a horrible, awful grifter on a book tour. You know the ones. It feels pretty important to me to send these people up, but then it would feel important to me because I invented her.
We're on for the WHOLE MONTH OF AUGUST, and accommodation prices in Edinburgh this year are brutal. I think people are trying to make up for lost money over the pandemic so you can't blame them, but still, it's going to burn a hole in my pocket the size of Boris Johnson's ego (large).
Here's a breakdown of our total (cheap as poss) costs:
Venue: £1,800
Production costs: £500
Accommodation: £4,000
Travel: £200
Press and marketing: £600
Estimated total cost: £7,100
(and that's without rehearsal space and trying to live/pay ourselves)
Any shrapnel you chuck in our GoFundMe bucket will go directly towards putting a roof over the heads of myself and my director, Mr Kieran Dee.
Anyone who donates £50+ can have a free ticket to the show!!
You can redeem a ticket in London (29th July - Rosemary Branch Theatre - Islington) or Edinburgh. You will also have my undying gratitude.
If you donate anything at all then you will be thanked on our website and in our programme and you will ALSO have my undying gratitude.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, I hope you have a lovely day x
