Help Lucy fund

Hi. Most of you are familiar with Lucy’s story, but for those of you sharing with others, here’s the short version.

Lucy is a beautiful 16 month old St. Bernard. For the last year she has had gastrointestinal issues on and off and we have been doing the best we can to manage with dietary management and medicine.

Recently Lucy’s situation has gotten worse. She has been refusing to eat and has lost weight. When she does eat, she whines and is clearly in pain. As you can imagine this heartbreaking to her family. She is our girl and we would do anything within our power to help her.

Lucy’s care over the last year has come close to 10k. We have pet insurance but they won’t cover her gastro issues since she was so young when they started. In order to confirm the cause of her pain, she requires an endoscopy which is estimated to have a cost of $3500. With the results, we will be able to confirm if Lucy has IBD or something else is causing the issue. As the sole income provider in my home and with the ongoing daily costs of Lucy’s special food and medicines , I can’t afford the cost of this diagnostic tool, but I can’t stand to watch Lucy suffer. I feel stuck and incredibly humbled to have to ask for help, but here we are. If you can help in any small way, please consider it. Our family would be infinitely grateful.

My son reminded me to make sure I conveyed how truly special Lucy is outside of her condition. She radiates joy and love to everyone she meets. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. Despite everything she has gone through, she continues to shine brightly and has shown me what a true fighter looks like. Her greatest joys are playing with her best puppy friends, being outside and snuggling her humans. Our goal is to be able to pay this money back someday by helping another family struggling to get help for their special pet.
