Help support Lucy in her fight against brain cancer

Hello, my name is Kayla and I have started this for my amazing niece Lucy. She is 16 years old and is a Junior in high school. She is an outstanding, straight A student that puts so much hard work into her schooling and extracurriculars. She was in JROTC in middle school where she competed in archery competitions that she won awards and medals in. She has been an awesome free hand artist without having taken but a couple of art classes, she also started playing guitar her freshman year of high school and continues to work on building that skill. She worked full time all summer long and saved her money to buy herself a car, which she recently accomplished.

Now, what started out as an appointment at the neurologist for some thing, putting pressure on her optic nerve, turned into an MRI on Wednesday morning, that turned into her being taken to pediatric ICU that same day for a tumor on her brain. This tumor is currently separating her right and left brain hemispheres. Friday morning they had to do an open skull surgery to take a biopsy of the tumor, she is currently recovering. I am asking for help on behalf of her and her family, they want to provide for her the best care she can possibly receive from whatever may come from this biopsy.
