Lucy, my majestic beast of a pup, was just diagnosed with a Mast cell tumor on her stomach. She has surgery scheduled to remove the tumor on New Years Eve. So far, just with diagnostic procedures alone I have spent $800 in a week on vet bills. The cost of surgery was estimated to be at least $1,500 if not more. My Luce Goose is only 8 years old and still has so much life in her, many more backpacking and snow shoe trips are in her future.
