Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,

Our family recently experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. Our beloved home, which has been a sanctuary filled with cherished memories and love, was tragically destroyed in a devastating fire. We are reaching out to ask for your support during this incredibly challenging time.

Our home was more than just a house; it was a testament to the hard work and dedication of my late grandfather, Gilberto Lugo. This home was where we celebrated milestones, gathered for holidays, and created countless memories. Living in this home were myself, Leanne, my mom Elena, my aunt Monica, my grandma Lola, my uncle Marcelo, our two dogs, and a total of 24 hens and roosters, of which only five were saved. Some of my most cherished memories include celebrating my 15th birthday in this home and going with my grandpa to buy donuts, then coming back to the couch to enjoy them together. The fire has left us without a roof over our heads and has taken away the place where we felt most secure.

We humbly ask for your generosity and support to help us during these difficult times. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and bring us one step closer to restoring our lives.

Nuestra familia ha sufrido recientemente una tragedia desgarradora. Nuestro querido hogar, que ha sido un santuario lleno de recuerdos preciados y amor, fue trágicamente destruido en un incendio devastador. Nos comunicamos con ustedes para pedirles su apoyo durante este momento increíblemente difícil.

Nuestro hogar era más que una casa; era un testimonio del trabajo duro y la dedicación de mi difunto abuelo, Gilberto Lugo. Esta casa era donde celebrábamos, nos reuníamos para las fiestas y creábamos innumerables recuerdos. En esta casa vivíamos mi mamá Elena, mi tía Mónica, mi abuela Lola, mi tío Marcelo, nuestros dos perros y un total de 24 gallinas y gallos, de los cuales solo cinco se salvaron. Algunos de mis recuerdos más preciados incluyen celebrar mi quinceñera en esta casa e ir con mi abuelo a comprar donas y luego volver al sofá para disfrutarlas juntos. El incendio nos ha dejado sin techo y nos ha quitado el lugar donde nos sentíamos más seguros.
