Help Luis financially through his cancer battle

My name is Luis Calderon and I am 64 years old. I worked as a painter for over 25 year providing for my family. I have worked hard all of those years to earn my living but now I am confronted with this sickness.
I have been diagnosed with metastatic stomach cancer which has spread to the liver – it is classified as terminal cancer stage 4 – I can’t do anything – I have no strength – the chemo leaves me weak and with no strength .
I have not worked since the beginning of the year and I am only receiving very little from the Department of Human Suffering each fortnight.
My rent is extremely high and it is impossible to manage to pay the rent and pay the bills. It is ridiculous –how can I pay the bills and buy any food.
I have applied for disability support pension but I haven’t been acknowledged yet after two weeks to the fact that I applied for it – no answer at all. The waiting time could be from two months up to a year (if successful).
They can turn around and say no you are not eligible for it. I am still hassled to look for work because I am on Newstart Allowance regardless of my condition.
I just want some financial support - I’m not asking for millions. I just want to be able to manage my rent, electricity bills, water bills and food and to have a peace of mind instead of carrying the burden of financial struggles.
