Help Luke and Sarah Start a Family!

Hi! We’re Luke and Sarah Johnston. We’ve been married since October of 2011. Luke is a tech assistant and Euthanasia Care Specialist at Imperial Animal Hospital using his degree in psychology and Christian Counseling certification to help those struggling with the loss of their beloved fur baby. Sarah is currently a lead preschool teacher for the Fox School district preparing future generations for kindergarten and has been the light for children and families for over a decade. It’s been our dream to become parents and have a family that seems to come so easily to others. However, the road to parenthood has been a difficult one for us. After the struggles of trying naturally and discovering our medical complications to do so, we’ve been trying to adopt. Over the past year we’ve gotten our foster license in hopes of adopting a child in need, but due to a broken system, it seems we have hit a dead end as well. We feel the Lord has led us to embryo adoption and we couldn’t be more excited for this path. Through this path, not only would we become parents, but we’d experience the joys of parenthood from start to finish. We acknowledge that this road will be hard; not just on our minds, body and soul, but through our finances as well. This is where we’re asking for your help. As you may know, times have been tough for everyone lately and the biological clock for our bodies is ticking, not leaving us much time left to start this family. We are adopting embryos through the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption program with the Nightlight Christian Adoption organization. They are a great organization located in Hillsboro, MO with offices all over the world. On average, the total cost for this program will be $16,000. We’re setting a goal of $17,000 to help cover any additional medical costs that may unexpectedly arise. We know this is a lot to ask, especially since we’re complete strangers. But any amount can go a long way and even just prayerer for us will be greatly appreciated.
