Help Luke Blum After Devastating Fire

On Saturday, February 22, there was a devastating apartment building fire in Carlisle, PA. Several apartments were destroyed, residents displaced, and they have lost everything.

One victim of this fire is a wonderful young man named Luke Blum. Luke’s mother and I are sorority sisters and dear friends. Luke is an amazing person who has overcome many challenges in recent years, and he continues to cope with some ongoing health issues. He loves music and is a talented guitarist. He was baptized recently and has Jesus deep in his heart.

Thankfully, Luke was able to get out of his apartment safely with his cat and one guitar. He will have to rent elsewhere, and with rising costs, his rent costs will be higher than what he pays now. He has a good job and some renter’s insurance coverage, but it won’t cover the increase he will likely see for an apartment and to replace his beloved guitars.
