Help Luke Trimmer After Tragic Accident

My name is Nathan Hill, and I have been a friend, employer, and neighbor to Luke Trimmer for about 15 years now. As some of you may know, Luke Trimmer was involved in a head on collision with a vehicle traveling the wrong way on I-35 while driving home from work in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 7th. He is currently in a coma in the ICU at Dell Seaton here in Austin. Details are still sparce, but he has two fractures in his spine, a broken arm, and most concerningly some brain bleeding. He is stable but they are actively working to wake him up. His family has flown in to be with him.

Any of you that know Luke know he is of the highest order of good hearted human beings. He would do anything to help his friends, and now it's our turn to show him our support. I am setting up this fundraiser with the permission of his mother Diane in order to make sure his bills are covered and other immediate needs can be met. I have set the goal at a level that I believe will cover his personal expenses for a year, and we are working on how to manage his medical bills, though it is very possible these funds go towards his medical bills as well. No doubt the medical bills will be far beyond the starting amount for this fundraiser, and he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. I will do my best to keep this page updated, and if needed increase the target amount. Keep Luke in your hearts and minds, and if you are able please visit and talk to him. His mother has asked that anyone come by and talk to him in the hopes it will help him wake up.

As a note to where the funds are going- we are hoping that Luke will be awake and alert enough by the end of the fundraiser so that I can transfer the funds directly to his bank account. If that isn’t the case I will work with his mother Diane to figure out the best course of action.
