Help Lydia Fight End Stage Kidney Disease

Dear friends, family, and caring souls,

We are rallying together to support Lydia Kim, a mother of three, facing a life changing diagnosis. What started with a sudden visit to the ER on June 17th, 2023 for shortness of breath and chest pain led to a 5-day hospital stay of scans and biopsy, and final diagnosis of Stage 5 chronic kidney disease or ESRD (end-stage renal disease) and the critical need for dialysis and a kidney transplant.

However, the road to transplantation is riddled with numerous financial burdens. The costs associated with the transplant procedure, pre-transplant evaluations, surgical costs, post-operative care, and ongoing immunosuppressant medications are immense. Additionally, there are expenses related to accommodations and the necessary lifestyle adjustments that Lydia and her family will have to make during the transplant process.

Currently, there is another roadblock that their family faces. There is a lack of income and health insurance through an employer at this time. Therefore, we turn to the power of community and the boundless generosity of kind-hearted individuals to offer Lydia the support she so desperately needs.

Our goal is to raise funds that will alleviate her financial burden and provide her with the resources necessary to navigate the journey towards a kidney transplant.
