Help Lynn get her independence back

ORCAM

Hello everyone. As you may or may not know, my wife and your friend, Lynn lost her eyesight in July. It is a hereditary neurological disease that has affected her optic nerve. From July to November she was in complete darkness.  After many trips to the Wills eye institute in Philadelphia, she has made some improvements but nothing to let her get back to the normalcy she once knew. Thankfully she had enough PTO and insurance to cover these last 7 months but that is coming to an end. There is a device that helps visually impaired people “see” when they are out in the world. Lynn desperately wants to be normal again, but knows her eyesight may never return. The Orcam doesn’t improve eyesight, but it will help her Cross the street, grocery shop without her crying, because she can’t read labels, walk Winston across busier streets because she can’t see street lights and recognize people with the facial recognition when they see her. Unfortunately this device is extremely expensive and is not covered by insurance...I know she may never see normally again but I’d like to give her a little bit of her happy back

A little video about what this device does
