Help Lynn Marie Yhost save her home and her leg!
Lynn Marie Yhost, is a lifelong friend from Holy Child Grade School (73) and Little Flower High School (77). Lynn has had a tough life with many medical and emotional family struggles resulting in financial ruin. She is in immediate danger of losing her home and losing her leg if not properly treated.
Lynn is a two-time Breast cancer survivor and survived Duodenal Bulb cancer (form of cancer in the gastrointestinal tract). She is a Registered Nurse but has been out of work for the last 8 years due to medical conditions. Lynn has an extreme autoimmune deficiency and has a disease that is eating her body from the inside out mostly affecting her legs. Because of her immune deficiency, it makes it difficult to fight off infections.
She has had 33 surgeries on her legs however her left leg will not heal. The doctors wanted to amputate her leg around Christmas 2019, instead they tried to do a flap, whereas; they took muscle from her back and placed it on her leg because her leg bone was hanging out. At that time, doctors diagnosed her with Osteomyelitis (an infection in a bone) and put a titanium rod in to save the leg. Then it happened again, she got a wound and the infection kept growing. So, they did another flap taking another muscle from her back and put in chest tubes for three months. Lynn was in the hospital for many months trying to heal during Covid-19 with no visitors allowed. This last surgery seems to be working and they recommend a Hyperbaric Chamber for two months. This is a type of treatment used to speed up healing of gangrene, stubborn wounds, and infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen. Her insurance won’t cover this treatment. Since she cannot walk, she does have visiting nurses come to the house to change her wound dressings and assist her.
In the last 5 years, Lynn has lost her sister, Teresa Yhost, her son, Dominic in 2017 and both parents, Harry and Teresa in 2017.
Lynn took out a loan to pay for the plots and headstones for her family and balancing this with a mortgage, utilities, and medical bills. Her funds are depleted and she is in arrears. Last week, she received a notice that she will be evicted from her home if she does not pay her back mortgage payments.
Let’s ban together to help Lynn. She is afraid she will be living in her car if she does not get the financial help she needs. We need to raise $25,000 to get her up to date on her mortgage, pay off the family cemetery bills, pay off her accumulating medical bills and get her the 45 Hyperbaric Chamber treatments so she can heal her leg.
In addition, prayers are always welcomed! Thank you for your contributions, both prayer and monetary!
