Help the De Veres Family: Eaton Canyon Fire Loss
Donation protected
In support of our dear friend, Lynzie De Veres, and her mom, Georgette De Veres, we are launching a fundraiser to assist them with the devastating loss of their home in Altadena due to the Eaton Canyon Fire. This tragedy has deeply affected Lynzie, her mother, husband, and daughter, and we want to help them in their time of need.
Lynzie's family has a long history in this home, which was purchased by Georgette and her late husband in 1984. Together they raised Lynzie in this home, and it served as the backdrop for countless memories with family and friends. Lynzie’s father lived there until his passing in 2004. After completing college, Lynzie returned home and lived there with her mother for several years. Lynzie’s mom, Georgette, has generously opened her home to friends and family in need of housing throughout the years.
As with many of the other families affected by this devastating fire, they had all of their daily possessions in the home. Georgette, a retired woman with ongoing health concerns, is particularly affected by this loss. Although we cannot replace the memories lost, we are hoping to raise funds to assist them with daily necessities including transportation, clothing, temporary housing, and eventually rebuilding. Lynzie and Georgette have a deep-rooted love for Altadena and its community and had hoped to continue their legacy there for generations to come. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and will be directed towards helping them regain stability and start anew.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this challenging time. Together, we can help the De Veres family begin to heal and rebuild their lives.
