Help Mackenzi with medical expenses

Friends and family, as you may know Mackenzi was recently hospitalized due to a DVT which we later found she was also diagnosed with May Thurners Syndrome- a rare vascular disorder in which an artery compresses your vein. Her artery was compressing her iliac vein and this is what they believe caused the clot. We would like to help Mackenzi with unexpected medical expenses and loss of wages. This diagnosis requires emergency surgery. She has had a Venous Thrombectomy and iliac stent placement. Post op, Mackenzi developed several pulmonary embolisms. Her care team is working to get the clots under control with anticoagulants but another surgery may be needed. Last year, Mackenzi was diagnosed with a PFO, a hole in her heart, that they did not think posed a threat and have not repaired. Now that she is having emergent vascular surgery, she will likely have heart surgery to close the PFO additionally. They are considering surgery while she is hospitalized for this as well. She is a single mom of 2 who will be out of work for several weeks to recover. Due to this unexpected emergency, she is in need of help with medical expenses and her bills until she is able to return to work. Our family is doing everything in our power to ensure Hayden and Elliott are being cared for during this challenging time. We know Mackenzi is loved by so many and we are requesting your help.
