Help Maddie Recover After Eaton Fire Loss

Hello friends and family! We are starting this GoFundMe page on behalf of our friend, Maddie Crowley, who has lost her Altadena home in the Eaton fire. Thankfully, Maddie is safe, but the fire has left her without a place to call home and without many of her personal belongings. She was renting from her parents and carried no renter's insurance. The beautiful house where she lived was totally destroyed, including everything she owned except her car, laptop, and thankfully, her dog, Benny.

This was her beloved home which she had furnished and worked out of remotely for the past three years. In prior years, both of her sisters made it their home along with many wonderful roommates. These young women made it a place of welcome and blessing to others. Countless community events were held through the years. Madeline made it her mission to carry on that value herself from the first days of living here.

Her parents lost some lovely furnishings also made available for use by those who lived here through the years. These included a cherished piano that three prior generations of her family had owned and grew up playing. However, this is not a GFM for their loss but rather Maddie's. She poured her heart into making this her home. It was not a temporary stopping point but rather where she hoped to stay, raise a family, and continue contributing to the community of Altadena she loves so much.

We are completely devastated and heartbroken. Maddie is one of the kindest, most generous people we know. She has always been there to offer a helping hand, share a laugh, or be there in times of need. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her as she navigates this incredibly challenging time.

The funds raised will go directly toward helping Maddie to get back on her feet and fundraise to restart her life and work.
