Help Made Artisan Collaborative After AC Theft

Hi! I'm Allison Papara, owner of Made Artisan Collaborative located on 103rd St in Beverly, Chicago. We've been in business for three years now. For those of you not familiar with my shop, we sell all handmade items comprised of over 40 local Artists and Artisans, providing extra income to said Artists and Artisans. Since we opened in 2021, it has been important for us to be as inclusive as possible, and as a result have become a safe space for the POC and LGBTQIA+ Communities as well. We LOVE Beverly, and right now we need your help.

A few weeks ago someone stole the copper piping from our air conditioner unit. Because of the age of the unit, we need to spend $9000 to repair and replace it and because of the type of lease we have, it is our responsibility to do so. We're trying to stay open as much as possible during this time, but some days the heat is unbearable. From this theft we've had to close several days resulting in lost revenue and loss of product as well due to damage from the heat. This is resulting in us not being able to pay our rent for the store as well. A complete domino effect.
