Help Mads & Miles Replace a Wrecked Car

Hi, friends. If we've hung out in LA you may already know that my VW Jetta, "Corey," has been pretty beaten up by these mean streets over the years. Now Mads has been in an accident with it: everyone's fine, but the repairs would be so costly — and Corey is already so battle-scarred — that it makes more to invest in another car at this point. We're not looking for anything fancy, just a cheap, reliable used ride that Mads can use to get to her job and the art workshops she teaches around this highly automotive town.

As we are but a humble journalist and bookseller, this still presents a huge expense for us among other bills (and following a costly move a few months ago). While understanding that there are many more urgent causes you might and should donate to, we would be grateful for any help as we try to lock down an affordable new set of wheels.
