Champlain Towers Tragedy - Support for Magda

Hello everyone,

Magda J. Castineyra is the Honors College Director at the Eduardo J. Padron Campus (previously known as the InterAmerican Campus). She lived in the residential building that collapsed near Miami Beach on Thursday. Thankfully, she is fine and was not present when the building caved in. As part of an effort to help her get through this tragic event, some of her past students created this page. All funds raised will be sent to her directly. Any and all forms of support are greatly appreciated and will lessen the financial burden as much as possible. More than a college director and adviser, she is also our friend. We are where we are today thanks to her. For us, she was the YES that we needed to jump-start our careers. Before Magda, we all were uncertain of our future and academic careers, but under her guidance and support, we went on to go to incredible schools and achieve our professional and personal goals.

She has touched so many lives and helping her in this moment of dire need is the least we can do to support her.
