Help Maggie beat Osteosarcoma
Donation protected
I am writing to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of Maggie Bradshaw, a 10-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma - cancer of the bone. Maggie is a vibrant, creative, and adventurous child who is the best friend, classmate, and immediate soul sister to my youngest daughter, Nia. Maggie’s life took an unexpected turn last Friday when she was diagnosed with this.
Maggie and her parents, Amy and Landon, are now at BC Children’s Hospital, where they will begin the painful process to remove the tumour in her knee, a long process of chemotherapy with surgery in the midst. They have had to leave the comfort of their home, their dog Emmet, and have made a home at Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver for however long it takes.
This is every parent's nightmare, and their whole life has been put on hold. While their road ahead is indescribably hard, they remain positive, and they surround Maggie with huge love and support. I can’t take away Maggie’s illness, but I would like to try to lessen the financial burden on her family.
I compassionately ask you to donate even just a small amount to the Go Fund Me page I have created on behalf of the family. All funds raised will go directly to Maggie’s medical costs and her family’s related travel and housing expenses.
If you’re able to support in any way, any donation is appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
