Help Maher and his family escape Gaza, and build a future

I am Ahmed Koufa.

I live in Belgium.

I am trying to help my friend's family escape the war zone.

My friend Maher Dahalan and his wife Rawida Sawali have a child born in the war, and his parents are elderly

Hello. My name is Maher, 40 years old. In the heart of the Gaza Strip, amidst the chaos of war, my family and I found ourselves deprived of everything we once held dear. My wife, my newborn baby, and my elderly parents and I found ourselves in the unforgiving reality of displacement, we had to flee to save ourselves to a less safe place after the Israeli army ordered to move to southern Gaza. We ended up fleeing to a small tent and sleeping on the sand due to the crowded population, and the sound of explosions from time to time.

We lost our only source of income, our house was destroyed and now we are homeless

With each passing day, our situation became more precarious. My wife, still recovering from a difficult caesarean section, and my elderly parents faced additional challenges with insect-borne diseases, contamination in the tent, and complications from malnutrition.

We walk dozens of kilometers to search for a medical point for treatment.

Family is the most precious thing we have. We were happy with our life in our home before it was destroyed, now the minimum basic necessities of life are not available anymore, such as food, drink, housing, and treatment. We never imagined that this would affect our health, as diseases have

spread as a result of food and water pollution.

We did not imagine that our life would be like this after it was beautiful and quiet in Gaza, and we had our dreams and plans for the future, but the war deprived us of that...

Evacuation fees are $5,000 per adult and $2500 per child .
