Help Maher’s family with medical costs

Hi everyone,
For the last few months I have been trying to support my friend Maher in Gaza. He is 23 and currently living in displaced persons tent camps. With him are several family members, as well as his fiancée and her family.
In the eleventh month of the current war, his fiancée was injured and now requires treatment. We are raising money for travel and evacuation costs to get her to medical treatment as soon as it is possible. Funds will go to:
- travel costs for Maher’s fiancée
- travel costs for Maher to accompany her
- medical costs for treatment of her injury
- border fees
Any additional money raised will go to support Maher’s family in accessing basic necessities, and hopefully soon being able to rebuild their lives having lost everything in the last year. This includes:
- food and drink for day to day survival
- clothing - especially winter clothing as it has been very cold and wet
- toiletries and hygiene items
I am running this fundraiser on Maher’s behalf, as his access to the internet is patchy, and so I am in a better position to run the fundraiser day to day.
Any donations you can make are gratefully received, Maher and his family have been living in displacement and under siege for months now. All they want is a chance to rebuild their lives.
