My terrified friend Mahmoud is a young Palestinian man who has now been made homeless by Israel’s devastating invasion of Gaza. Mahmoud and his family have been displaced seven times, constantly on the move to escape the growing military presence and the bombs that rain down from the sky.

The situation in Gaza has reached a critical point, with thousands of families like Mahmoud’s facing unimaginable hardships. The ongoing conflict has led to a humanitarian catastrophe, with widespread destruction and severe shortages of resources.

Widespread Displacement: Thousands of

Palestinian families have been forced to flee their homes due to intense and relentless military operations. Many have been displaced multiple times, facing constant uncertainty and fear.

Lack of Basic Necessities: Access to food, clean water, and medical supplies is severely limited.

With infrastructure destroyed, even basic needs become a daily struggle.

Overcrowded Shelters: Many displaced families are forced to live in overcrowded conditions, often in makeshift shelters with little protection from the elements or further attacks.

Psychological Trauma: The constant threat of violence and the instability of being repeatedly displaced have taken a severe toll on the mental health of adults and children alike.

Mahmoud and his family have experienced the worst of these conditions. They have been displaced seven times, each time more painful than the last.

The family of 12, including three young children, has faced enormous challenges in securing safety, food and shelter. The 12 of them are now sharing a single tent, which cost more than $1,200, in the forest, and are forced to travel daily to obtain food and water.

•The Cost of Safety

It costs $5,000 to evacuate just one adult from Gaza, and about $2,500 to evacuate each child.

This makes it nearly impossible for a large family to escape without help. Mahmoud is determined to find safety for his family, but they need your help.

We aim to raise enough money to bring Mahmoud and his family to safety. This GoFundMe campaign hopes to raise the resources needed to provide them with a stable and safe environment until they can return home.
