Help Mahmoud's family survive war

Donation protected
Hello friends, I am Megan from Australia, raising money for the Abumousa family after their home was destroyed by a nearby airstrike.

Mahmoud lives with his mother and 5 siblings in Rafah, Gaza. Their house was recently destroyed when the nearby Al-Farouq Mosque was bombed, and they are sleeping exposed to the cold and rain during winter. There is a shortage of food and clean water, and what food that is available is incredibly expensive. With the escalation of bombings and the increasing threat of ground invasion, the goal is now to evacuate the family out of Gaza through the Egypt crossing.

Mahmoud would like to share a message with you:
"Hey, thank you for taking the time to view this fundraiser. Due to the ongoing aggression in Gaza, I have become increasingly more concerned about the safety and well-being of my family and myself. The matter is not limited to the fact that the bombings have become more severe in Rafah, as our house was bombed and now my family and I are without shelter. But there are also shortages of food, water, medical supplies and other basic necessities. The situation is very difficult. We have 7 members in our family, consisting of 4 daughters, 3 sons, our mother, and my father who is deceased. We ask for any assistance that can be generously provided. Any money we receive will go towards our basic needs for survival and potential evacuation from Gaza. Thank you from my heart, for taking the time to read this and for any donations you may make. "

Before the war Mahmoud's dream was to play football professionally outside of Gaza, a lifelong passion. In 2017 he travelled with the Palestinian national team against Norway and won best player in the tournament.

Mahmoud did a great deal of work in the community during the war (purchasing cars of sweet water and distributing them to the displaced, making white bread and pastries and distributing them to tents, and many other efforts). We must now help them in their time of need as well!

It is important that we help Mahmoud's family, which consists of 7 members, to the war zone immediately. Egypt has partially raised the cost of the border, so their escape from hardship will only be possible through this fundraising campaign. He writes: They are counting on us!

Distribution of funds: crossing the border into Egypt costs $9,000 per adult, $63,000 for seven. This has been converted to Australian $ for the campaign goal, as that is where the campaign coordinator is based.

Please share widely and donate generously, like Kak! Help us support to find peace and freedom after their lives were turned upside down by such brutality. Thanks a lot for your support.
