Help Màiri & Seán move into our new Crip Home!! ♿️❤️

Hiya!

We, Màiri & Seán, have finally been offered a Council Disabled Accessible Bungalow in our local community!! Yaaayyyyy!! We're super relieved & excited, as are our family & friends!! ♿️❤️

We are desperately needing to move as my health has sadly continued to deteriorate. I, Màiri, have Severe M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), Severe Fibromyalgia, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), GERD (Gastro-oesophageal Reflux Disorder), Gastritis, IBS, & other co-morbidities. I now find the stairs in our current home extremely difficult, painful & exhausting to use, & it puts a massive strain on my heart which I am now having more problems with. I am really trying to keep my health as stable as possible, hopefully not deteriorate further; which this move will MASSIVELY help with!! ❤️

I am largely housebound & bedbound now, so having an accessible & level home is deeply important for me & my husband & full time Carer, Seán. We were initially told that it would be at least several months before we were offered a home, but YAY, here we go!!! ♿️❤️

However, we are a low income Working Class family, we have no savings & like so many, are struggling to make ends meet in this cost of living crisis. ☹️

We are therefore needing to reach out to our family, friends, loved ones & support system to ask for your help if you are at all able! ❤️

We are needing to pay for the following:

• A deep clean of the entire Bungalow.
• To buy paint & then paint all of the rooms: the hallway, kitchen, bathroom, living room & bedroom including the skirting boards, ceiling, radiators & doors.
• To buy flooring for the hallway, living room & bedroom.
• To buy an Oven.
• To pay for an Electrician to safely install the Oven.
• To pay for a Plumber to properly install our washing machine.
• To pay for a Removal Van to move our furniture & belongings to our new home! (Our friend will drive! )
• To pay for the Rent for our new Bungalow AND our current home during the transition period, which will hopefully just be a few weeks!!
• To buy & put up a fence in the back garden to keep our cats safe, alongside providing us with privacy & security.
