Help Majd and his family rebuild their lives

Hello, I am Majd, 25 years old, from the northern Gaza Strip. I study accounting at Al-Azhar University, Gaza. I am here to share with you our story. After a long time thinking about sharing it, the need has forced me to ask for help from you for me and for my family because we are going through difficult circumstances. I did not recognize myself. Except an ambitious and persistent person, but I am in dire need of being able to pull myself together and start again. 6 months ago, I was living with my family of 8 members,

in our beautiful house, and my father had A grocery store we work in and it was a source of income for us.

When this war began, circumstances forced us to evacuate our beloved home in order to survive. We left our home with tears flowing for fear that we would not return to it... We were displaced south to the Rafah area in a tent, suffering from the heat of summer and the cold of winter.

There was no news from the northern Gaza Strip, and we lost contact with our relatives who were there.

Suddenly, while we were cooking food on the fire, my brother Ahmed Youssef’s friend called us to shock us with the news of our house in Jabalia being targeted, and our grocery store being targeted. Everyone was in shock. Is this true?! are you sure ? Youssef: Yes, I saw it. It was completely destroyed. Sadness and despair clouded our hearts. What happened? We lost our home and our source of livelihood.

Now there is a constant threat that the city of Rafah will be stormed. I feel myself much weaker than I can afford to lose anyone from my family. The despair increases day after day because we are unable to cover the travel costs to Egypt. Now I am requesting this amount to cover the travel fees for safe and quick passage through the crossing. Rafah to go to Egypt,,,, money for food, housing, and comprehensive care,,, we just want you to help us so that we can escape certain death. I have lost everything and I do not want to lose myself and my family as well. I ask you and I hope that you are able to help me.
