Help Makai Fight Stage 5 Kidney Failure (ESRD) We Need You

Hi, my name is Michael , and I’m reaching out with a humble and heavy heart. My 12-year-old son, Makai, is facing the fight of his life. Along with living with severe hemophilia, Makai is now battling Stage 5 kidney failure, also known as End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Watching my vibrant, joyful boy endure these challenges has been the hardest experience of my life.

I currently live in Texas but have been flying back and forth to Milwaukee to be by Makai’s side. Leaving his siblings behind with my fiancé to support Makai has been difficult, but as his father, I need to be there for him through this fight.

Despite the pain and uncertainty, Makai’s strength amazes me every day. He’s thoughtful, resilient, and continues to shine, even when life feels overwhelming. No child should have to endure this, but Makai is a warrior, and I’m standing by his side every step of the way.

I want to turn this struggle into something meaningful—not just for Makai but for other families going through similar battles. With your love and support, we can give him the best chance at a brighter future.
