Help Makala and Shamber Through This Crisis

Hi everyone,

As most of you know, Makala has been very sick lately. She has gone from our smart, sassy, headstrong, goofy girl to being a completely different kid. She has had several hospital stays, tons of tests, and blood work only to get no answers... until now! They have found that she has hydrocephalus, which is a narrowing of the arteries in the brain. She will have to have surgery to place a shunt. The sooner, the better. As you can imagine, it has put a huge financial strain on Shamber because she literally cannot leave Makala alone.

Makala is having trouble with speech, she is very confused, she can't remember things from one minute to the next, or how to use simple items like her phone and she is having trouble with incontinence. She is in the hospital right now awaiting the surgery and Shamber never leaves her side. Which means Shamber cannot go to work and she has used all of her sick time in just the last couple of months since this all started.
