Help Makayla Kick Cancer!
Donation protected
Hello loved ones,
One of my oldest and dearest best friends, Makayla Wilson, was recently diagnosed with lymphoma after a short couple months of chest pains. The fact that cancer has hit a young, seemingly healthy, 26-year-old mother of two small boys has taken us all by surprise. We're all heartbroken but incredibly HOPEFUL, as we know she has the strength, courage, and determination to kick cancer's big ol' booty.
Makayla is one of the most independent, hard-working, loving people I know. If you didn't know her, you'd think she might be quiet, but let me tell you this girl can make you laugh like no one else! She has a beautiful little family with her fiancé Ben, consisting of sweet boys Landen and Ryker, and their pup Mayzee.
One of the scariest things about cancer is all of the uncertainties that come along with it. What's going to happen next? I'm reaching out to you all to start a fund for Makayla and her family so that money doesn't have to be on the list of uncertainties.
Makayla is fortunate enough to have healthcare that covers her many doctor visits, chemotherapy treatments, tests, and other medical care needed to make sure she has all the tools she needs to fight this disease. However, the cost of cancer goes beyond the doctor's office.
Your generous and much-appreciated donations of ANY amount will help toward:
- Gas (for driving to and from many appointments)
- Food & Groceries
- Childcare & Related Expenses
- Over-the-counter Medications & Treatments (needed to deal with the many uncomfortable side effects of chemo)
- A Wig & Hats (hair loss is a side effect of chemo)
Makayla's first chemo treatment is TODAY, and she has to stay overnight for up to 5 days to receive treatments for this first round. Please consider donating as soon as possible so we can make sure she and her family are taken care of through this difficult time.
Thank you all so much!
