Help Makayla Remove Brain Tumor
Donation protected
On Wednesday, Jan 27th my sister, Makayla Herbert, was rushed to the emergency room in Springfield, OR after having a seizure in her sleep. After several hours of testing, the doctors discovered she has a cavernous malformation (brain tumor) on the right side of her brain. She has traveled back home to the bay area to seek treatment and surgery at UCSF or Stanford. While we wait for more answers and the next steps we are asking for your help during this difficult time.
For those who don’t know Makayla, she is finishing her last year at the University of Oregon as a double major in Finance and Spanish. She has consistently been active on and off her campus throughout her collegiate experience serving as President of the Dean’s Council for Inter-Club Coordination, President of the Women in Business Club, and Vice President of Finance of Tri Delta sorority.
Any contribution made is deeply appreciated by our family. We understand the impact that this global pandemic has had on everyone, so if a monetary donation is out of reach, a share or comment to help spread my sister's story is equally as impactful. We want to thank everyone who has reached out, called, brought by gifts, and sent positive words of encouragement to keep her spirits high. The amount of love she has already received has been overwhelming, we cannot thank you all enough.
