Help Makayla Simmons & Kevin Simmons

Hi, my name is Doug Finnerty and I am raising money for a close friend of mine that tragically passed away unexpectedly. His beloved daughter was everything to him, she is engaged and getting married on April 13th, 2024. So, we are trying to help her and future husband Dylan Spalding.

Kevin Simmons was a tremendous human being who touched so many lives. As fate would have it he was taken from us far too soon. Perhaps in the multitude of unfortunate circumstances, none is more tragic than the fact that he will not be able to walk, Makayla, his daughter and the center of his universe, down the aisle when she gets married in April. As those of us who have worked with Kevin in his 32 plus years at either Ingersoll Rand or Trane Technologies began to discuss what we could do to honor his legacy, it became apparent.

We discussed making a donation on his behalf to a given charitable organization or planting a tree on his behalf, then we thought, “what would Kevin want?” Kevin would want to ensure his daughter Makayla had every possible opportunity to get a head start on her new life with her soon to be husband, Dylan. That’s who Kevin was, not about him, but about those that he loved.

With that in mind, we have established this Go Fund Me page to honor Kevin’s legacy and provide a little head start for Makayla and Dylan. We believe this is how Kevin would have wanted to be remembered, giving always to others
