Help Make Michael Strong...Again!

Michael Strong: devoted Christ follower, father, brother, friend to all, exuberant singer and tube sock aficionado.

On December 20th, our dear Michael suffered a stroke. After undergoing two weeks in the hospital, he began  rehabilitation on January 4th. The road to recovery will be challenging for Michael as the stroke caused total paralysis on the left side of his body. The stroke impacted his speech, ability to feed himself, to swallow and complete loss of use of his left leg and left arm. This has left him unable to walk or sit up on his own. While Michael has a hard and long road ahead, he is very motivated and determined to work daily to return to his former high energy and active self.

This is where you come in! In addition to prayers, love and encouragement, we are asking for his community to rally around Michael in his fight toward recovery. At this time, Michael’s insurance has only approved him for a maximum of 12 days in a rehabilitation facility. Considering the totally devastating physical loss caused by his stroke, Michael will need many more weeks of intensive physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation. The only way he can obtain that will require him to pay privately for every additional day of rehabilitation after he reaches day 12 on January 16th. In addition to financial assistance for rehabilitation, we are seeking assistance to help Michael once he finally returns home as he will not be able to work for several months  and will need home health services for several weeks.
