Help make the burden a little less heavy

While some establishments are raising money to cover fines from violating vaccine mandates, we are trying to cover costs for one of our team-member's, who's family members were lost to Covid.  Yes, plural.

Hi. I'm Doron Petersan, the owner of Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats here in DC. I'm able to follow my life's dream and mission of running a bakery free from animals because of this community. Every person who works to make Sticky a success, and every person who enjoys a treat. Both our guests and our work-family are the magic to my dream.

While some establishments are raising money to cover fines from violating vaccine mandates, we are trying to cover costs for one of our own who's family members were lost to Covid.

When one suffers, we all suffer. Omicron is ripping its way through our staff and their families, doing irreparable damage to our hearts and bodies . You may have met Precious at Sticky Fingers.  She is our front of house power-house.  She's kind, generous, hard working, caring, considerate....I can't say enough about how awesome she is.  But if you met her, you know.  Precious is dealing with the loss of her mother, Tinia Genus. Tinia died this past week from COVID, here in DC. Loved ones are left to pick up the pieces emotionally and financially while trying to make sense of it all. Precious' 1 year old son,  has lost his Grandmother. Two more members of her family are in ICU. It's too much for me to imagine, let alone deal with the responsibilities of managing care, managing memorials, and managing a toddler.

 

We are putting this fund together to make her burden a little less heavy. Please help if you can, and please spread the word.
