Help support Maleah thru her surgeries in Ohio

The beautiful little girl in the picture is my daughter Maleah. She is 5 years old and she is currently in pediatric icu at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She recently came to Ohio from Norfolk, VA. She has a trach tube in her throat because she can’t breathe on her own. The reason she can’t breathe is because she has a hole in her esophagus and another hole in her trachea. Both holes are too large to heal and close on their own. CHKD Norfolk could do nothing for my daughter besides make her comfortable, which was unacceptable. An amazing doctor there with friends in Ohio got together with them and arranged for her medical transport. Once we arrived we realized this is only the beginning of the road. Maleah will need more care than we thought as we realized she lost partial ability to walk. She will need very extensive treatment and care and it will be expensive for her to stay here, as well as us her parents. CHKD has done a great job performing the surgeries she needs so far but she needs to see the special surgeons here to get the rest of the care she needs as well as therapists to help her learn to be the wonderful loving, singing, playful blessing that she is. I know Maleah is not done blessing and touching lives so please help. Hear a mother’s cry and understand I would NOT ask for help if my child didn’t really need it. It’s almost as if every turn we make we think she is better and we learn she needs more care. I am a very private person and I don’t like asking for help but I need you guys!!
