Help Mallory and Ziggy Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
On Monday night June 24th, my sister, Mallory lost her home to a fire of unknown origin. We are so incredibly grateful that both Mal and her labradoodle, Ziggy, were able to flee the home unscathed and are safe and healthy. But they left with only the clothes on their back and nothing else.
Not only did the fire destroy the majority of her condo but all her belongings suffered, at the very least, severe water damage (from sprinkler system and firefighter recovery) and smoke damage. As a result, she'll be required to live in temporary housing for 6 to 9 months. Yes, we are in shock and saddened by all the irreplaceable knick-knacks and memories that were lost but we know how lucky and blessed we are that Mallory and Ziggy are still with us.
Though Mallory has insurance, it will not be covering everything she lost. From clothes to kitchenware, furniture and appliances, irreplaceable mementos from growing up in Egypt...she will be starting from scratch. We all know asking for help is never the easiest thing, but any donation, no matter how small, to help Mallory and Ziggy get through this hard time, would be appreciated beyond words.
Mallory is a beloved art teacher at Millennium High School (Agua Fria School District), she is the daughter of Verrado residence Cheril and Vince, an amazing dog mom, incredibly talented artist and my best friend and sister. It is in times like this, that you realize the importance of family, love and community. From neighbors offering her shoes outside of her condo and a leash for Ziggy to strangers comforting her as she called 911, we are so grateful for good people. Thank you so much for taking the time to keep us in your prayers. We know we will get through this because of people like you.
