Help Manal evacuate Gaza with her Kids
Donation protected
Dear everyone,
my name is Nabil, I am a student in Berlin and am raising money to evacuate the last of my family out of Gaza to escape the killings in Rafah.
Initially my eldest cousin Manal Abu Hamdan decided not to leave as her husband stayed behind in the north of Gaza to take care of his parents.
She will be left alone with her two children, Aiya and Moeen, once her sisters and mom cross the border. Since the bombings in Rafah increased, she has made the difficult decision to leave Gaza.
Manal wrote the following message to describe her and her family's current situation:
"My name is Manal, I am 27 Years old , a mother of two children from Gaza. I can't explain how it feels when in one day everything you worked for in life is destroyed …
The recent war on Gaza erased everything I possessed and dreamed of, all my hopes and ambitions, everything I studied for in my life.
I got married, have two children. I was a really happy mother. I had studied English literature, and sacrificed all my savings to build a good future for my Family. But one rocket attack changed our lives completely. Destroyed our house, taking with it my children’s toys, memories, my certificates, and my savings, and now we are at point zero.
I will never be able to get a copy of my Diploma as my university was bombed and became a pile of stones. Even the website was deleted from the web and the archive was burned.
We lived in Khan Yunis and since the beginning of the war, I was providing aid and caring for the refugees who were displaced to Khan Yunis. I hosted displaced families in my home and provided aid. We had a mini market, so we distributed blankets and goods to people in the tents.
Until the bombing reached Khan Yunis and we became displaced in tents. Our Mini Markt was destroyed. It was a tragic point, as we has worked for years to establish it.
The horrors of war consumed us. My husband and I were separated because of the bombing. He stayed to take care of his parents, and my children and I moved to Rafah to a refugee camp. No one can imagine the torment we are experiencing, as a mother with a baby and a small child without food, water, or money.
What is really sad is that my baby and five year old daughter have to see all these atrocities and I am helpless to save them from seeing all the wounded people and to sleep on the sound of rockets and bullets. I still cannot understand this.
My dream is to save my children from war. They are innocent and deserve to live. As a mother I believe my kids deserve to live like they are angels. So I plead for humanity to help save my kids and me from the war. In our hearts there is a great fear and hopelessness. That is why I ask you to donate to help us flee the war. "
Please donate if you're able to and continue to share this fundraiser to help our family get to safety. Thank you.
All the money will be used to pay the Egyptian border fees for the Rafah border.
