Help Manjit Fight Breast Cancer
Hello,
We are hosting this fundraiser on behalf of our Aunt, Manjit Saggu.
Manjit was first diagnosed with a form of Breast Cancer alongside her 3 sisters in 2008, where she underwent chemotherapy and radiation. Fortunately, her and her sisters all overcame it. In late February of 2021, she received the heart breaking news that she was re-diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer which was initially found in her lungs. This form of Breast Cancer is one of the most detrimental and invasive forms of Breast Cancer as it cannot be cured.
Manjit comes from a big family, she is one of 8 siblings. Anyone that knows her, knows that she is selfless, loving, honest, funny, and an extremely hard worker that has overcome many hardships throughout her life.
For those who have been touched by cancer, you know this diagnosis not only affects the patient, but the family as well. Her life has been turned upside down and quickly put on hold. What once was a life full of enjoyment has become constant doctors appointments, aggressive medical treatments, and a lot of time resting due to the side effects this has had on her body. Manjit recently lost her mother in March and was not able to attend the funeral due to the pandemic and her recent health issues. This pandemic has made it very difficult to have family support during this time as most of our family lives in Canada while Manjit lives in the United States. This has left not only her, but our family feeling very alone and helpless during this time.
We would like to use the donations from this GoFundMe fundraiser to help take the pressure off of her while she is battling Cancer. We want our aunt to focus on her health and well being, rather than worrying about the cost to save her life, but we cannot do it alone.
We thank you in advance for your compassion, and support to our family during this time. Even if you are unable to donate, please take the time to share this post and pray for our family.
Thank you again for your help and generosity.
