Help Manuel Flores Rebuild After Devastating Fire

Hello Everyone. My name is Manuel Flores, and on New Year's Eve, I lost everything I owned.

I've always been one to look for every option out there before I ask for help, even by those willing to. But right now, I literally have nothing. At 1 am on January 1st, right after the ball dropped for the New Year, I received a call informing me that a fire broke out in my apartment. After arriving on the scene, they allowed me a few minutes to walk through. Although the limited lighting and time of day made it difficult, my home was unrecognizable. My bedroom, which held so many irreplaceable items, was a black demo site, and every other inch of my home was stained black. No sooner had I walked in than I was told I had to leave and not touch a single thing. Clothing, keepsakes, even a picture—the apartment staff member

and the investigator there said everything had to stay as it was after the fire. Since it was New Year's Day, no one at the complex or my insurance company was available to assist. Despite filing a claim and communicating with my rather cold and callous property managers, I've been given very little in regards to assistance from the very people I pay to help me in these matters. Family, friends, and the Red Cross have been tremendously generous, but unfortunately, there's only so much it can help. Anything you can give will help me rebuild my life, even just hearing my story will help.
