Help Maple Heal: Support for Emergency Vet Bills

Hello all!

We are setting this up in hopes to help a single mom, who is now missing work to care for her, with her emergency vet bills and ongoing care. On the evening of April 6th, Maple, this beautiful 7 year old poor girl was attacked by an unleashed dog running free in Winooski. Her owner and her were starting their regular evening walk, when a woman told her to be on the look out for a pair of dogs that were unleashed and without an owner being aggressive towards people and other animals. Just a few moments later, they encountered the pair of dogs and tried to retreat quickly into the lobby for protection, but were sadly chased and engaged. Maple jumped in front of her owner as the white dog lunged at her and the dog latched onto her leg and wouldn't let go. Maple's owner and a couple of bystanders helped get the attacking dog off finally and chase them away. Maple's owner did call the police and they said they have had reports of the same dogs loose. Maple has had stitches and has an infection inside her leg. she's going to need some ongoing care to heal from this. We know this world is only getting harder by the day, but anything can help and is beyond appreciated. We thank you for everything and anything.
