Help Marcela on her journey to recovery

Hi, I'm Marcela's sister Mili. Marcela sustained a spinal cord injury and an above-the-knee amputation 20 years ago due to a car accident. During the years Marcela has accomplished so many great things and has conquered even the highest mountains. Marcela fell from the car on May 15th, 2022 and she fractured her tibia and fibula in pieces. She had surgery on Monday May 16th, 2022 and she is in stable condition now. Doctors have put a lot of restrictions on her to avoid infection and she has been sent to inpatient rehab to help her to be independent again with her new injury. Marcela is not allowed to walk with her exoskeleton for 4 months and she needs to be relearn to walk again with it. This new injury will not allow Marcela to fully work as she needs to focus on her recovery. I just wanted to create this fundraiser to get some weight off her shoulders. Medical bills can be really expensive especially for someone who has a pre-existing condition like Marcela. My sister has built such a great community that loves her work and support her so any help to make her journey to recovery better I know she will be very grateful. Marcela has never asked for anything and she has helped her community selflessly. I will put weekly updates here.
