Help Marcin and Kinga Rebuild After Fire

You may have heard of the tragic house fire in Derby this past Christmas. I am Marcin and Kinga's neighbor on Minerva Street, and this past Christmas Day, I came home to the terrible sight of their house in flames, and dozens of emergency responders bravely working to save everyone from such a terrible situation.

I am starting this fundraiser to help Marcin and Kinga, and their two young children recover from this tragedy. I have been living here in Derby for the past 12 years, and Marcin and Kinga moved here three years ago, and let me tell you, they are the kind of people you want to have as neighbors. They are kind, giving, hardworking, and responsible people, and I am so happy to have a family that chooses to live in this community and take part in it next door to me. They bring me food and medicine when I am ill, watch out for my pets, and share readily what they have.

To see them lose everything in the blink of an eye on Christmas Day of all times, all the presents under the tree, and all their clothes, food, and cherished mementos is heartbreaking. Please join me in returning that community spirit that they so readily extend to those they know, and lend a hand as they try to get resettled in this time of crisis.
