On February 23, 2024, my cousin Marcin experienced a sudden onset of random neurological and motor skill symptoms that forced an emergency room visit. A few days later, the unimaginable was confirmed:

Stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) Brain Cancer

According to the National Brain Tumor Society, Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the most complex, deadly, and treatment-resistant cancers. It is also one of the more expensive cancers to treat, often leaving a patient and their family with major financial hardship on top of the burdens of the disease.

This diagnosis not only threatens Marcin's life, this surprise situation has already yielded an unimaginable emotional toll on him, family, and friends.
